Coach, we'll miss ya
Poor Coach Keady, the Purdue/Minnesota game just ended 59-57 MN. What a disappointing way for his last game at home to end. I wasn't able to go to the game; but I watched it from my room. Looked good during the first half, but Minnesota came back and had it tied in the last couple of minutes. Then they got an extra couple of points and held us back from OT. Sad way for the home career of such a stellar coach to close.
It's been a busy week, with three exams and a final that's been postponed until Tuesday. I know the first two went well, and the third seemed ok. The one I'm worried about is the 211 Phase Check that got postponed. I have John Satterly (my instructer from last semester) as the examiner, and I've heard he's really tough on phase checks.
After a lot of thinking, consulting with other believers, and praying, I finally decided to go to Big Break this year. It was a tough decision because I wasn't originally planning on going. I've gone the last two years and I didn't feel as much of a need to go again this year. I didn't think my motives were right to go, but I was forced to rethink them a week ago. It's been really tough because it seems that my motives are evenly divided between good and bad, and the alternative is to go home, work (making a significant amount of much needed money), and even visit some old friends and relatives in Minnesota. But, with a process too long and too difficult to write about here, it was decided that I was going. What's even more amazing; within about a half hour of that decision God provided the funds I was lacking to pay for the trip!
In other news, Shane is getting back this weekend from his 2 months away from us at job training. So I'm expecting him to call any minute wanting some cheap labor (aka me) to help him unload his stuff into the apartment. It's going to be really awesome to have him around again.
That's all for now. I know I said before that I wasn't really planning on using this thing, but I figured I'd give it a try for a little while and see how I like it.
