My car: "It's not in my nature to be mysterious, but I won't start, and you don't know why..."

Yeah, the parents are weeping. Just how much money does it take to keep an old car running? Then there is the whole issue of maybe the son needs counseling . . . he's talking with his car? And it is talking back?? Scary, VERY scary.
