Prophecy

II Kings 2:23-25 (NIV)
23From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" 24He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths. 25And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria.”

Now, all you need to understand this passage is this simple guide to the characters:

Elisha = Lovie Smith
Bears = Da Bears
Punk teenagers = Manning and company

Now you know what the Bible has to say about this Sunday’s big game.

GO BEARS!!!

Shawn, be very glad you live in the 20th century. Back in OT times, the punishment for false prophecies was death.

That said, I feel your pain over the loss. I was also pulling for da Bears.
